Toivola Mittens Pattern

The inspiration for Toivola Mittens came from the Toivola Mystery Shawl pattern which was published in July 2020. The stitch pattern used for the mittens is the same as in the first clue of the shawl, so the mittens match the shawl well. The mittens are worked with an Indian thumb gusset and the pattern is written for the Magic Loop technique so that you work with a long circular needle one mitten at a time. If you prefer, you can also use double-pointed needles and choose any other fingering weight yarn. Untreated wool is warmer than superwash treated wool.

One skein is enough for the smaller size, bigger size needs a bit over one skein.

Pattern has a chart only, not written version.

approx. 50 (60) g Tukuwool Fingering 100 % Finnish Wool Yarn, 370 m / 100g, shown in light grey 02 Humu.

Two sizes: S-M and L-XL

Needle suggestion 3mm

Gauge: 30 sts 39 rows = 10 cm in stockinette stitch.
