Join Joji for an exciting workshop centered around the Super Simple Summer Sweater! This class is designed for knitters who want to deepen their understanding of the circular yoke sweater construction while also learning how to modify and customize their projects for the perfect fit.

This class will blend hands-on practice with theoretical insights, helping you approach sweater design with confidence.

What We’ll Cover:
- Introduction to Top-Down Sweater Construction: Learn the basic structure of a seamless, top-down sweater with a relaxed, boxy fit. We’ll use the Super Simple Summer Sweater as our foundation.

- Neckline Shaping Techniques: Explore the essential techniques for starting your sweater, including short rows and strategic increases for shaping the neckline. You'll also get a chance to try these techniques in class.

- Understanding Fit and Ease: Dive into the concepts of positive ease and how it affects the overall style and comfort of your sweater. Learn how to adjust the pattern to fit your body type or create a more tailored look.

- Customizing the Body and Sleeves: We’ll discuss various modification options for body shaping and sleeve length. Whether you prefer a cropped look, extra-long sleeves, or adding waist shaping, you’ll leave with the tools to customize your sweater.

- Playing with Patterns, Color and Stripes: Get creative with your color choices! We’ll talk about how to integrate lace, stripes, color blocking, or even additional textures into your design for a unique, personal touch.

- Finishing and Adjustments: We’ll cover finishing techniques like picking up sleeve stitches and different hem options, along with tips for making your sweater truly your own.

By the end of this 3-hour workshop, you’ll have a solid understanding of how to approach this sweater construction from a design perspective and feel confident making your own modifications for future projects. While we won’t be completing a full sweater in class, you’ll have the chance to practice key elements and get all your questions answered!
