This pattern is called Tikkuri or Luotolainen and it's one of the oldiest Finnish knitting patterns. Originally this sweater was knitted in Hailuoto, in an island near Oulu, to fisher men. Taito Shop Oulu has written the pattern again to honor this 200 years old tradition but unfortunately the pattern is only in Finnish at the moment. We have hope they would translate the pattern into English soon.
