Hallatar sock yarn is a two-ply fingering-weigth sock yarn from Finnish dyer Louhittaren Luola. This yarn is a mixture of Bluefaced Leicester wool (75%) and nylon (25%) to give the yarn more strenght. This is an ideal yarn for socks. BFL wool is especially durable and warm, nylon making the yarn even more long-lasting.

Hallatar has a beautiful subtle seen. Hence we recommend you knit or crochet anything you like from Hallatar, colorwork, lace, cables, you name it!

The yarn is hand-dyed in Finland. Each skein is unique and they are dyed in small batches. We recommend buying enough yarn for your project and alternating skeins every other row when knitting. For a medium size sweater you’ll need approximately 300 grams.

Please note that the label has incorrect yardage. The correct one is 356 meters.
