PATTERN For Pyry Beanie
Using the Tubular Cast on method and with 3 mm needles cast on 88 (96, 104) 112 s. Rearrange stitches for 2 x 2(k2, p2) ribbing.
Change to 4 mm needles, place BOR marker, start to knit in the round.
Knit 2, p 2 for approx. 25 (27, 27) 27 cm.
Start decrease round by placing markers as follows: Move BORM, knit 4 sts in ribbing, PM, knit 6 sts in ribbing, PM, knit ribbing until 2 sts left, PM, knit 2 sts in ribbing as established, knit the first stitch of the following round and move BORM here.
Decrease round: Knit ribbing until marker, sm, ssk, knit ribbing until 2 sts before next marker, k2tog, sm, knit ribbing for 6 sts, ssk, knit ribbing until 2 sts before marker, k2tog, sm, knit 3 sts in ribbing. 84 (92, 100) 108 sts left.
Knit one round as established, slipping the markers as you get to them.
Decrease round: Knit ribbing until marker, sm, ssk, knit ribbing until 2 sts before next marker, k2tog, sm, knit ribbing for 6 sts, ssk, knit ribbing until 2 sts before marker, k2tog, sm, knit 2 sts in ribbing. 80 (88, 96) 104 sts left.
Repeat this decrease round 11 times until 36 (44, 52) 60 sts left.
Double decrease round: Sm, knit ribbing until marker, sm, sssk, knit ribbing until 3 sts before marker, k3 tog, sm, knit ribbing for 6sts, sm, sssk, knit ribbing until 3 sts before marker, k3 tog, sm, k 2 in ribbing. 28 (36, 44) 52 sts left.
Repeat the double decrease round 1 (1, 2) 2 times more. 20 (28, 28) 36 sts left.
Bind off the remaining stitches using the 3 needle bind off technique. Weave all yarn ends to the wrong side. Wash the beanie and lay flat to dry.
