Eucalan Delicate Wash is ideal for handwashing and woolen knits. While suitable for all fibers, Eucalan performs best on delicate fibers such as wool and silk. It can be used for both hand washing and machine washing.

Eucalan is a no-rinse detergent, meaning its formula gently releases dirt into the wash water, cleaning fabrics without the need for a final rinse. Although the fabric absorbs a small amount of the detergent, it has beneficial properties. Lanolin strengthens and conditions fibers—especially great for wool and knits—but is suitable for use on nearly all materials.

Additionally, some of the pure essential oils used in the fragrances are naturally antibacterial or moth-repellent. These are intended to remain in the fabric to provide ongoing benefits. If desired, you can rinse the textiles after washing. The detergent will have already done its cleaning job, but the lasting conditioning effects of lanolin and essential oils will be lost.

Manufacturer’s Washing Instructions:

Hand Washing with Eucalan Wool Wash:

1. Add 5 ml (about 1 teaspoon) of Eucalan to a basin.

2. Fill the basin with lukewarm water (about 4 liters).

3. Gently submerge the knitwear and let it soak for 15–30 minutes.

4. Drain the water and press the excess water from the knit into a towel.

5. Dry the knit flat, for example on a towel.

Machine Washing with Eucalan Wool Wash:

Make sure your knitwear is machine washable before proceeding.

1. Add 15–30 ml (~1–2 tablespoons) of Eucalan to a laundry ball.

2. Select the wool or delicate cycle on your washing machine. Choose the gentlest and shortest spin cycle available.

3. After washing, dry garments flat, for example on a towel.

Eucalan’s gentle wool wash is non-toxic, biodegradable, and free from brighteners, phosphates, synthetic fragrances, and dyes. It has a neutral pH and is packaged in an easily recyclable, dye-free HDPE plastic bottle. Lanolin acts as a natural conditioner and reduces static electricity. Eucalyptus: Eucalyptus is Eucalan’s original scent dating back to 1989. Eucalyptus oil is a natural moth and flea repellent, making it ideal for regular washing of wool garments.
Lavender: The lavender wash contains pure lavender essential oil, which also naturally repels moths and fleas. Suitable for all fibers.
Grapefruit: This grapefruit-scented wash contains grapefruit essential oil, which is antibacterial and perfect for knits worn close to the skin.
Jasmine: Jasmine oil is a natural antiseptic, making it perfect for your most delicate fibers. This is Eucalan’s strongest fragrance and a fan favorite. Wrap your delicates in the aphrodisiac scent of jasmine.
Natural Unscented: This neutral detergent uses the same trusted formula but without fragrances. Ideal for underwear and children’s clothes. The unscented version is pure Eucalan—no added chemicals to mask the natural scent. It is especially designed for those sensitive to fragrances.
