Worsted weight yarn (or Aran weight yarn that comfortably knits to the given gauge)
Main color (MC) approx. 45 (65, 90, 110) yards / 40 (60, 80, 100) m
Contrast color (CC) approx. 30 (40, 50, 60) yards / 25 (35, 45, 55) m
Yardage needed depends on whether you make the brim and ties with MC or CC (difference is only some yards/meters)

Needles and Notions:
US 6 / 4mm circular needle 32” / 80 cm or longer for magic looping OR 16” / 40 cm circular needle and double pointed needles, OR needle size that gives you the gauge
2 double pointed needles of the same size for the i-cord
5 stitch markers
Gauge:
20 sts and 30 rows = 4” / 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch in the round after blocking
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain gauge!
