Titityy’s Tiina has designed a unique shawl pattern that captures the essence of the Jyväskylä Summer Knit Festival. Featuring a Tuck Stitch pattern and a vibrant, festival-inspired color palette, this shawl is a true work of art.
The pattern involves easy yet interesting Tuck stitch variation created by slipping stitches without knitting them, with yarn over that is worked on next row together with the slipped stitch, creating a raised or tucked effect.

This shawl design is perfect for getting creative with colors. Tiina’s original shawl is knitted with Tukuwool Fingering Finnish wool yarn and Spincycle Yarns Dyed in the Wool gradient wool yarn from the US. This popular yarn brand is coming to Titityy in summer 2024 and now only available in the shawl kit.
Opt for vibrant hues that reflect the festive spirit, or choose softer tones for a more subtle elegance. The combination of gradient and solid colors work well in this design. The pattern calls for Fingering to Sport weight yarn. Jessi from Titityy knitted the second sample shawl in Tukuwool Fingering beige color Manna and vibrant Hot Pink color. Tukuwool Fingering is a two-ply rustic natural woolen spun yarn with over 20 colors. If you want to go with other fibers such as merino wool, substitute with cashmere blend Lana Gatto VIP, merino yarn Sandnes Garn Sunday, linen and merino blend Isager Merilin or honest Norwegian wool yarn Sandnes Garn Tynn Peer Gynt
