The jacket is knitted from neck down and has a tailored fit with sleeve caps and a defined waist. Stitches are first cast on for the back piece, then picked up for the left and right front pieces, followed by stitches picked up for the sleeve caps. Decreases are worked on each side to create a narrower waist, before being increased again. Finally, stitches are picked up for a double-knitted front band, and the pockets are sewn on.
