This knitting pattern is for a more experienced knitter or for an adventurous beginner. Lourdes offers new things to learn, bobbles, lace and short rows. You might say, there is nothing new there! True, you might have knitted a few bobbles and short rows too. What is somewhat new is the construction.

First you start by casting on stitches for the back, then you shape the shoulders to slant with short rows. After that you knit the back until the armpits, then leave the live stitches on hold. Then you start with the fronts and knit them separately, shaping them with short rows. Once they are long enough you join to knit in the round. Lastly you knit the sleeves by picking up stitches from the shoulder seam. All this might sound tricky, but if you want to take your knitting to the next level, knit something out of your comfort zone.
