How is the Tukuwool DK knit-a-along going?

Julkaistu: 29.07.2021

In June we launched the Tukuwool DK knit-a-long. We want to celebrate Finnish wool and our new yarn base. There is still time for you to participate in the KAL, you can find how to join and more info here. Here is the Ravelry thread.

Have you seen the new patterns that just came out for Tukuwool DK?

There is Havas from Finnish designer Ronja Hakalehto, a lovely cabled pullover that I knit in June. I wore it the other day and I have to say I can’t wait for the weather to turn colder, so I can wear it constantly.

Then there is Diggory Venn from Isabell Kraemer. This funky sweater is great to use up tiny leftovers for the stranded colorwork part. I think it would look awesome in Haave with Auri and Valo for the colorwork part.

There are also a few upcoming patterns for Tukuwool DK from Sari Nordlund, Veera Välimäki and Andrea Mowry. Here is a sneak peek of Veera's sweater!

I’m not quite done with the knit-a-long yet. I have yarn for at least two more sweaters. Next I’ll probably knit one with Tukuwool DK combined with 2 strands of silk-mohair. I knit the swatch already, but haven’t done the math. But surely, if the weather stays cold, I’ll put it on my needles. - Enikö
